Tomáš Trč is chief of the Orthopedic Clinic of Charles University at Motol Hospital in Prague. His main interests include the treatment of degenerative arthritis, joint replacement, arthroscopy, lenghtening of bones and sports traumatology. Over the years he has been involved in several specialty societies, among which the European Society for Sports Traumatology, Knee surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA) and the Czech Society for Orthopedics and Traumatology (CSOT). He is National Delegate for the Czech Republic at the Société International de Chirurgie Orthopedique et de Traumatologie (SICOT) and is honorary member of several national societies. He has given more than 300 lectures at home and abroad and has published more than 120 articles in the national and international journals. He has written 2 monographs and is the author of 2 textbooks. He is the editor-in-chief of the peer-reviewed journal “Orthopedics” and of the Czech version of “Current Orthopaedics” and member of several editorial boards.
